Deposit & Cancellation Policy: All boarding reservations require a $10.00 non-refundable deposit to hold and guarantee boarding reservations. Deposit will be credited to you invoice at check-out. Cancellation within 7 days of reservation will forfeit deposits. If the appropriate 7 days’ notice is given, your deposit may be used as a credit towards future boarding or services.
Peak/Holiday Season Deposit & Cancellations: All reservations during peak/holiday seasons require a $50.00 deposit. The Deposit of $50.00 will be refundable only if reservation is cancelled 14 days or more prior to the reservation start date.
If the reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the reservation start date the entire deposit of $50.00 will be forfeit.

Holidays: The office is closed all holidays for drop off or pick up.
Vaccinations/Health: All boarders are required to be current on all required vaccines. Dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella and Canine Influenza. Cats must be current on FVRCP and Rabies. Any vaccines not up to date at the time of check-in will be vaccinated at the owner’s expense. Always verify your pet’s vaccination status at the time you make your reservation.
If you pet’s vaccination history is current at another facility, records must be faxed to our office at least 72 hours prior to arrival. If your pet’s vaccine history is not confirmed and on file at the time of check-in, Cypress Fairhaven Animal Hospital has the right to refuse for boarding and charge the cancellation fee as listed above, if the owner refuses to give approval for in-hospital vaccination.

We keep our facility flea/parasite free. We administer a complimentary, required Capstar to eliminate any fleas brought into the facility. All pets are inspected upon entry into the boarding area. If ticks, earmites or other parasites or suspiciously contagious issues are present or arise during your pet’s stay, your pet will be treated accordingly at your expense including an In-Patient Exam of $46.50.
Please notify our staff at time of reservation and check-in if your pet has had any recent illness or abnormal behavior. As we are a hospital, we are often able to accommodate pets needing special care and attention and want to be sure no illnesses are transferable to our other boarders.
We provide clean and fresh linens everyday. We enforce and have strict policies, for sanitary and health reasons we do not accept any stuffed or rope toys. While we do recommend against it, you may bring your pet’s personal bedding, with the understanding that they may be soiled, damaged by your pet or cleaning, or lost.
We highly recommend keeping your pet on his regular diet from home to reduce any stress on the GI Tract due to a sudden change of diet. All food to be brought in labeled baggies by serving or in a container labeled with serving measurement instructions base on “baking” cups for each pet staying with us. In the event that your pet’s food is forgotten we feed all boarding patients Purina EN, a gentle, easily digestible diet.
All medications should be in original bottle with correct instructions on the label. In addition, we find it helpful to write a list of each medication with dose and frequency to ensure nothing is forgotten. If your pet were to run out of medication, need authorization at time of check-in to refill, otherwise administration of medications will cease when medications run out.
Peak/Holiday Seasons: All National and Religious Holidays will adhere to Peak Policies. In addition, Friday through Monday from May through the end of August.
