Dr. Hennessey truly loves his work caring for the beloved pets in his community. He has a great passion for working with rescue organizations to perform life-saving treatments and surgeries for pets most in need. His compassion for pets in need and helping their families has guided our mission statement and core values as a hospital, and aided in cultivating a highly skilled, equally compassionate team. His special interests in medicine include orthopedic surgery, ultrasound, and internal medicine.
Dr. Hennessey graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003. He worked in the Jersey Village area until opening Cypress Fairhaven Animal Hospital in 2013. His experience in the veterinary field began in 1996 and has continued to be a lifelong passion. He received the Angel for Animals Award from the Homeless Pet Placement League in 2004. He was also a national top 10 finalist for Petplan Vet of the Year Award in 2012. Dr. Hennessey is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association.
Fun Facts
Dr. Hennessey personally enjoys basketball and running, the company of his pets (a Jack Russell terrier, Bingo, 11; a Golden Retriever Mix, Dan, 5; a cat, Kitty Soft Paws, 8, and his most recent addition, Churro the kitten. Dr. Hennessey stays active in the Fairfield and Cypress communities with his wife and three wonderful children.
